Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 6, 2026

1. Overview

Canvassed AI respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you use our website, commercial real estate data platform, listings map, data portal, data exports, API services, subscriptions, trials, and related services.

This policy applies to information we process as the operator of Canvassed AI. It does not apply to third-party websites, services, payment pages, or data sources that we do not control.

2. Information We Collect

Account and profile information

We may collect your name, username, email address, phone number, company name, password-related credentials, role, subscription status, trial status, account settings, and communications with us.

Payment and billing information

Payment transactions may be handled by third-party payment processors such as Stripe. We may receive limited billing details, subscription status, customer identifiers, invoice information, payment status, and related records, but we do not intend to store full payment card numbers.

Platform and usage information

We may collect information about how you use the platform, including login activity, pages viewed, searches, filters, saved listings, downloaded files, API key creation, API requests, response counts, usage limits, device information, browser type, IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic logs.

3. Commercial Real Estate Listing Data

canvassed collects commercial real estate listings from publicly available brokerage listing pages and standardizes them. Every listing links back to the original listing page and names the listing brokerage as the source. Listings can include the listing broker's business contact details (name, brokerage, work email, work phone and license number) so users can reach the broker about the listing. Brokers can ask to update or remove a listing or their contact details by emailing info@canvassed.ai.

4. AI Assistant Connections

You can connect canvassed to AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT through canvassed's MCP connector by signing in with your canvassed account.

The connection gives the assistant read-only access to listing data under your plan. It cannot change your account or anything else. Information returned to the assistant can include listing details and, on plans that include them, broker business contact details.

What we receive. When you ask the assistant to use canvassed, it sends us that lookup: search filters (such as location, property type, size, or price), place names, company names, or listing IDs. We do not receive your conversation, chat history, memory, or files, and we do not ask the assistant for them.

What we log and why. For each request we log your account, the AI app used, the tool, a one-way fingerprint (hash) of the request inputs, record counts, response size, and timestamps. We use these to apply your plan's usage limits, bill add-ons, support you, and keep the service secure. When a place name needs interpreting, we also keep the place-name text and the locations we suggested, without your account details, to improve location matching.

Who receives results. Listing results are returned to the AI assistant you connected (for example, Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT), which handles them under its own privacy terms. We do not sell this information or use it for advertising.

Retention and your choices. These logs are retained as described in the Data Retention section. To stop access, disconnect canvassed in the AI assistant's settings; access also ends if AI assistant access on your account ends. For questions or deletion requests, contact us at info@canvassed.ai.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

You can often control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect platform functionality.

We do not sell personal information in the traditional sense. If we later add advertising or third-party marketing technologies that constitute a sale or sharing under applicable privacy laws, we will update this policy and provide required choices.

8. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, manage accounts, meet billing and audit requirements, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, comply with law, maintain security, and support legitimate business operations.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information, account status, billing history, API usage, legal requirements, and operational needs.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls, authentication, token handling, API key protections, logging, and vendor security practices. No internet or cloud service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your credentials, devices, and API keys, and for limiting access to authorized users.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and relationship with us, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You may also be able to update profile information through your account.

To make a privacy request, contact us at info@canvassed.ai. We may need to verify your identity and may deny or limit requests where allowed by law, including where information is needed for security, billing, legal compliance, or legitimate business records.

11. U.S. State Privacy Notice

Some U.S. state privacy laws, including California privacy laws, may provide additional rights for residents of those states. Depending on applicability, these rights may include the right to know categories of personal information collected, request access or deletion, correct inaccurate information, opt out of certain sales or sharing, limit certain sensitive information uses, and not be discriminated against for exercising rights.

The categories of information we may collect are described in this policy and may include identifiers, account information, commercial information, internet or electronic network activity, geolocation approximations from IP address, professional or employment-related information, and inferences related to platform usage.

The services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

13. International Use

Canvassed AI is operated from the United States. If you access the services from outside the United States, you understand that information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.

14. Changes and Contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may be communicated through the platform or other reasonable means.

Questions or privacy requests may be sent to info@canvassed.ai.
